The University of Leiria and Oeste (ULO) has launched the application process for its bachelor's degrees for the 2026/2027 academic year, presenting an opportunity for students to define their academic and professional path. The institution offers a diverse, innovative educational program aligned with the demands of the job market, spread across various study areas and schools.
ULO stands out for its practical training, over 130 laboratories equipped with cutting-edge technology, strong links with companies offering internship opportunities, international experiences, and modern infrastructure with student support services. The goal is to promote qualified employability and anticipate labor trends, adapting the educational offer to students' interests and ambitions.
Students entering ULO become part of the European University (RUN-EU), an alliance comprising ten higher education institutions from the European Union. For the 2026/2027 academic year, the university offers 52 bachelor's degrees through the general access regime, in daytime, post-work, and/or evening modalities, totaling 1975 places. The degree in Human Relations and Organizational Communication (RHCO), taught at a distance, was offered through a special competition (2nd phase: September 11-15).
Applications for public higher education are made via the National Higher Education Access Competition (CNAES), organized by the General Directorate for Higher Education (DGES). There are also other access routes, such as special competitions and specific regimes, for profiles like international students, holders of professional courses, or individuals over 23 years old. It is crucial to follow the deadlines and ensure submission within the defined dates, with separate phases for international students throughout 2026. Before applying, it is important to consult the access requirements, entrance exams, and criteria for each course.
Applications for the 2nd phase of CNAES took place online between August 24 and September 20, via the DGES website. Results will be released by DGES on September 30. The bachelor's degrees are organized into areas such as Arts and Design, Marine Science and Technology, Business and Legal Sciences, Education and Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology, Health and Sports, and Tourism.
To apply for Higher Education, students need the ENES Form, Prerequisites Form, and Access Password. ULO's Higher Education Access Office (GAES) provides application support, in coordination with DGES, with online assistance (acesso@ulo.pt, +351 244 830 013) and in-person service by appointment at the University's Central Services in Leiria.
Additionally, the Special Competition for Graduates of Professional Pathways 2026 has its 2nd application phase from September 30 to October 2. The ULO Student Support Center (CAE) offers various services to support students throughout their academic and personal journey.
