The ERC Rally 6 Cities North of Portugal will take place from October 23rd to 25th, in Fafe, Felgueiras, Boticas, Cabeceiras de Basto, Guimarães, and Ribeira de Pena. After a two-year absence, the European Rally Championship (ERC) is back in the North of Portugal, serving as the final event of the FIA ERC calendar and the year's last event under the WRC Promoter umbrella.
The official presentation of the event was held yesterday in the Noble Hall of the Fafe Municipal Chamber, with the presence of representatives from the participating municipalities. Antero Barbosa, President of the Municipality of Fafe, thanked the partnership with Demoporto and wished success to the event, highlighting its importance for promoting the participating municipalities.
The joint initiative aims to establish the North as a reference territory for rallies. Fafe will host the operational center, while Guimarães will feature the opening stage at Penha and the start and finish near the Castle.
The detailed schedule includes several special stages (SS) throughout the three days, beginning on Friday, October 23rd, with SS 1 at Monte Penha/Guimarães. Saturday, October 24th, will feature multiple SS in Cabeceiras de Basto, Ribeira de Pena, and Boticas. Sunday, October 25th, will host the final stages in Montim, Seixoso, Sta. Quitéria, and Lameirinha, with the Power Stage determining the final outcome before the podium ceremony in Guimarães.
