The exhibition, part of the Serralves Collection's Traveling Exhibitions Program, is a collaboration between the Municipality of Leiria and the Serralves Foundation. Curated by Luís Pinto Nunes and coordinated by Carlos Magalhães, it showcases works by three internationally renowned artists.
The works of Paula Rego, Jorge Queiroz, and Sue Williams explore the intersection of drawing, painting, and the unconscious, blending reality and imagination, memory and fiction. The inclusion of pieces by Paula Rego, a prominent figure in contemporary art, highlights the exhibition's artistic significance.
This initiative aligns with Leiria's bid for Portuguese Capital of Culture 2028, aiming to increase access to contemporary art and provide high-quality cultural experiences outside major urban centers.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by numerous guests, including the Councilor for Culture, Anabela Graça, and representatives from the Serralves Foundation, such as the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Manuel Ferreira da Silva, the President of the Founders' Council, Ana Pinho, and the Commercial Director, Carina Bastos.
