Starting today, traffic will be restricted and vehicle parking prohibited in Largo de Santa Cruz during the execution of the requalification project. The Junta de Freguesia of Aldeia do Bispo requests everyone's understanding and compliance with signage to ensure safety and the completion of the work.
The intervention, covering an area of approximately 1,674 m², aims to transform the current space, mostly compacted earth, into a more organized, qualified area prepared for various uses. The project includes the creation of a new parking zone, maintaining access to existing homes and spaces, and organizing internal circulation.
The square will have one-way traffic from south to north. The project incorporates granite paving, landscaped areas, and the introduction of trees and other plant species to reduce aridity and make the space more pleasant. Tables and bins will also be installed.
This project is the result of work developed by the Junta de Freguesia with the support of the Municipality of Guarda, under the SALVAGUARDA RURAL Program. The landscape architecture project was developed by Luísa Margarida Caramelo de Carvalho, and the contract was awarded to the company Granitos Alfeu Ferreira, Unipessoal, Lda., for the amount of €54,949.00 + VAT.
