The CIM Beiras and Serra da Estrela Region concluded the Camp In project, by the Just Change Association, which improved the conditions of 45 homes and benefited 74 people in the region.

The CIM Beiras and Serra da Estrela Region (CIMRBSE) promoted, in Fornos de Algodres, the closing session of the Camp In project, by the Just Change Association. The event marked the assessment of the work developed in the region, in partnership with the involved municipalities, aiming to improve the housing conditions of families in situations of economic and social vulnerability.
The initiative resulted in the intervention of 45 homes, providing more dignified housing for 74 people. 280 volunteers were mobilized, with a global investment of 613,000 euros. The municipalities of Almeida, Celorico da Beira, Fornos de Algodres, Guarda, Manteigas, and Sabugal participated in the project.
The main interventions included the renovation of roofs to eliminate leaks and reduce structural risks, the creation of new bathrooms and adaptations to improve accessibility, the installation of windows and insulation for thermal comfort, and the improvement of electrical installations for greater safety and efficiency.
The project began in Fornos de Algodres in 2022, later expanding to Celorico da Beira in 2024 and Sabugal in 2025. In 2026, the intervention was extended to Almeida, Guarda, and Manteigas, with the support of CIMRBSE. This partnership reinforces the importance of joint work between CIMRBSE, the municipalities, Just a Change, and the volunteers.
