Until November 9th, the public consultation for the Municipal Youth Strategy of Tavira is underway. This guiding instrument for municipal youth policies aims to establish objectives, priorities, and lines of action for the coming years, considering the needs and aspirations of Tavira's youth.
The document was prepared through a participatory and collaborative process, developed by the Municipality of Tavira in conjunction with the ECOS Cooperative. Throughout this process, young people from the municipality shared perspectives, identified challenges, and contributed ideas for the development of local youth policies, which are now open for public discussion.
This public consultation represents a further opportunity to deepen civic participation, allowing young people, citizens, youth associations, and other interested entities to present suggestions and observations. These may be considered in the final version of the Municipal Youth Strategy.
The municipality thus intends to continue fostering a youth policy built with and for young people, strengthening their participation in defining municipal priorities that directly concern them.
The draft Strategy is available for consultation at https://cm-tavira.pt/site/participacao-publica/. Contributions can be submitted until November 9th, by submitting a request addressed to the Mayor of Tavira, to Praça da República, 8800-951 Tavira, or via email to camara@cm-tavira.pt.
Once the consultation period concludes, the received contributions will be analyzed and submitted for consideration by the competent municipal bodies. The Municipality calls for participation in creating a better future for the youth of Tavira.
