EMARP is launching today, October 19th, the second phase of the Door-to-Door awareness campaign in Portimão, aiming to encourage residents to separate organic waste.

The initiative, running until October 31st, seeks to increase participation in selective collection of this waste stream within the municipality. The awareness team returns to the city streets to clarify doubts on how to correctly separate food scraps and to distribute free organic waste separation kits, which include a 7-liter brown bin.
The team will be in the field from Monday to Friday, between 11:30 AM and 2:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and on Saturdays, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
As part of the campaign “Don’t play with food scraps”, this initiative reinforces EMARP's commitment to valuing biowaste, aiming to transform a simple daily gesture into a habit that helps reduce the amount of waste sent to landfill.
EMARP urges residents to be attentive, as the team may knock on their door in the coming days if they have not yet received their kit.
