Participants can enroll in courses such as sewing, knot tying, computer skills, meditation, decorative arts, drawing and painting, gymnastics, embroidery, lace making, macramé, Zumba, group work, new technologies, and literature and thought. This year's central theme is “Chairs with Memory: Where Life Sat,” a project aiming to gather memories, life stories, and local heritage through shared testimonies, photographs, and techniques in workshops and intergenerational meetings, culminating in a final exhibition.
Short-term complementary workshops will also be offered, covering topics like digital security, smartphones, photography, memory, fall prevention, nutrition, sleep, cognitive stimulation, arts, local traditions, and intergenerational experiences. As in previous years, seniors will have access to cultural visits, local heritage sites, thematic routes, as well as outings, walks, and lectures.
Registration can be done in person at the Municipal Library of Castro Marim, by phone at 281 510 747, or via email at geral.uoeascd@cm-castromarim.pt. A pre-registration form is available online.
