The project «Resíduos Solidários – Troque Embalagens por Solidariedade», promoted by Gesamb, marked in 2026 a decade of commitment to environmental sustainability and social responsibility. Since its creation in 2016, the initiative has enabled the collection of over 2,300 tons of recyclable materials, the allocation of 320,000 euros in support, and has benefited more than 50 people and entities.
The project's main objective is to transform recyclable waste into solidarity, converting the value of collected materials into support aimed at addressing social needs. These results reflect the involvement of citizens, companies, and institutions that, over this decade, have contributed to the initiative's success, demonstrating that recycling can generate environmental and social benefits.
By celebrating this milestone, Gesamb reaffirms its commitment to continue transforming waste into opportunities for community support, promoting a more sustainable and solidary society.
