The AdolesSer Project, developed by the Community Care Unit (UCC) Évora, of the Local Health Unit of Alentejo Central (ULSAC), has been recognized as a Good Practice in School Health by the team responsible for implementing the National School Health Program.

The project will be integrated into the Repository of Good Practices in School Health, to be made available on the website of the Directorate-General of Health (DGS). Developed since 2014 by the nurses of the School Health Team of UCC Évora, AdolesSer is a project to promote socio-emotional skills, aimed at students in the 6th and 9th grades of schools and school groups in the municipality of Évora.
The initiative complements the educational offering in the area of health education, addressing topics such as adolescence, emotions, self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, peer influence and pressure, autonomy, personal boundaries and consent, safety, risk behaviors, decision-making, seeking help, sexual and reproductive health, and critical use of information and digital media.
In its assessment, the jury highlighted the structure and coherence of the intervention, the robustness of the evaluation, and the significant evidence of effectiveness in terms of health literacy and adolescents' socio-emotional skills. The quality of the data produced, the critical reflection aimed at continuous improvement, and the potential for replicability of the project in other School Health contexts were also valued.
