The Évora District Archive marks the National Day of Church Cultural Heritage, celebrated on October 18th, by digitally publishing an inventory of assets from the former parish of São Pedro de Évora.

October 18th is dedicated to the Church's Cultural Heritage, a day that invites the valorization and preservation of religious and cultural assets, including churches, chapels, paintings, sculptures, religious images, and ancient books. These assets represent faith, spirituality, memory, and community identity, making their protection crucial for future generations.
The Évora District Archive joins this commemoration by publishing an inventory on its website of assets and ornaments from the former parish of São Pedro de Évora. These items have been transferred to the new facilities at the Church of São Francisco in the same city.
The handover of these assets was formalized through a “Publica forma” on November 29, 1840, by the former parish treasurer, José Maria Rafael. The assets were received by the prior of São Pedro, António Joaquim Lobo Mexia Corte Real, on January 15, 1841, and authenticated by the notary public, João José Gonçalves, on November 23, 1844.
