The Alentejo 2030 Regional Program has launched two new calls for applications, with a total budget of €3.525 million, aimed at supporting the hiring of highly qualified human resources by micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the region.

The calls, co-financed at a maximum of 50% by the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+), aim to strengthen the innovation capacity of Alentejo's SMEs, promoting knowledge valorisation, technology transfer, digital and energy transition, and increased business competitiveness.
Eligible for funding are hires of professionals with qualifications at level 6 or higher (graduates, masters, PhDs, or postdocs), whose activities align with the Alentejo Regional Smart Specialisation Strategy (EREI 2030/RIS3).
Through these measures, Alentejo 2030 seeks to promote qualified employment, strengthen the link between companies and the regional scientific and technological system, and accelerate organizational and technological modernization processes within businesses.
The call for Low-Density Territories has a budget of €2.125 million, while the one for Other Territories has €1.4 million. Applications can be submitted until 6:00 PM on March 31, 2027.
