The town of Góis hosted yesterday, October 18th, a solidarity walk as part of the national "Always Woman Race" initiative. The event, which started from Praça da República, sought to raise community awareness about breast cancer prevention and collect funds for the Portuguese Association for Support of Women with Breast Cancer (APAMCM).
Participation in the walk included the purchase of the official kit, priced at 14 euros, with the entire amount donated to APAMCM. This action is part of a national mobilization aimed at promoting the prevention and early detection of the disease, supporting APAMCM's work with affected individuals and their families.
The Municipality of Góis's commitment to this cause continues its participation from previous editions, reinforcing its involvement in public health and solidarity actions. The municipality values the community's active participation in these initiatives.
