The Municipality of Figueira da Foz promoted, on October 11, 2026, an informational session on legalization and documentation regularization for migrants at the headquarters of the Junta de Freguesia of Marinha das Ondas.

The initiative, titled «Living in Portugal – Legalization and Documentation Regularization», brought together approximately 41 participants from Nepal, Bangladesh, India, and Brazil. The session is part of the «Região de Coimbra, A Tua Casa» project, in partnership with EAPN Portugal – Núcleo Distrital de Coimbra.
The session was led by Beatriz Martins, a social worker specializing in Forensic Social Work with experience in migration. The aim was to clarify doubts about the legalization and documentation regularization processes in Portugal, as well as to publicize available support services and resources for the migrant population.
This action reinforces the commitment of the Municipality of Figueira da Foz and its partners to the reception, inclusion, and integration of the migrant population, promoting access to information and coordination between local entities.
A further session on the same topic is scheduled for October 17, at 10:30 AM, at the Assembleia Figueirense. Interested individuals can register via an online form.
