The event, which marked World Music Day, celebrated on October 1st, featured the presentation of the show "O Tempo dos Rios". The artistic proposal, held at the Arganilense Ceramics Auditorium in Arganil, integrated music, cinema, and literature, exploring rivers as a source of inspiration.
The performance was based on the original work of composer and multi-instrumentalist Tiago Sousa, with compositions recreated in co-creation with the Orquestra Sem Fronteiras. The explored sonorities were inspired by the universe of water and the fluidity of rivers.
The musical component was complemented by the projection of a silent film, conceived by Joana Patrão specifically for the show and dedicated to the theme of rivers, establishing a dialogue between image and sound.
The literary dimension was provided by recorded and live readings of original texts by writer Joana Bértholo, performed by the musicians themselves and integrated into the sound and visual experience.
The multidisciplinary artistic approach of "O Tempo dos Rios" invited the audience to rediscover rivers not only as natural elements but also as sources of poetic and creative inspiration.
The concert was supported by the Municipality of Arganil and is part of the work of the Orquestra Sem Fronteiras, supported by the Direção-Geral das Artes within the scope of the 2025-2026 biennial support program.
