The Municipality of Arganil marked, on September 30th, World School Milk Day with activities at the Kindergarten and the 1st Cycle Basic School of São Martinho da Cortiça.
The initiative aimed to encourage the consumption of milk and its derivatives, for their contribution to both physical growth and cognitive development of children, as well as to raise awareness about the importance of integrating these foods into their daily diet.
The activity was based on the story “Super School Milk”, dramatized and illustrated using recycled waste materials. Children were involved in a fun and educational way, in an action that reinforced the importance of consuming milk and healthy eating habits at an early age.
Celebrated annually on the last Wednesday of September, World School Milk Day aims to raise awareness about the importance of milk consumption in the educational context, highlighting its contribution to a balanced diet.
