The ceremonies began with a solemn session in the Noble Hall of the Paços do Concelho, in Penamacor. The session included speeches by the Presidents of the Municipal Chamber of Penamacor and the Commune of Clamart, the signing of the renewal of the twinning commitment, the hoisting of flags accompanied by the performance of the Portuguese and French anthems by the Banda Filarmónica de Aldeia de João Pires, and a musical interlude by the Coro da Academia Sénior de Penamacor.
Commemorative medals were awarded to individuals who contributed to the initiation and strengthening of the twinning, including Rui Paulo, Carlos and José Pires, Sally Ribeiro, Domingos Torrão, Ilídia Cruchinho, António Luís Beites Soares, and António Cabanas. There was also an exchange of institutional souvenirs.
On the afternoon of the 4th, the 20th Anniversary Commemorative Landmark was inaugurated with the unveiling of a plaque in the Garden of Clamart and the symbolic planting of two olive trees. This was followed by a visit to the companies IBERSACO, EUROMEL, and VITORINO, before a Gala Dinner featuring performances by local groups such as Rancho Folclórico de Aranhas, Grupo de Cantares de Pedrógão de São Pedro, and Rancho Folclórico de Penamacor.
The second day, November 5th, began with the launch of a school competition themed “20 years of friendship between Penamacor and Clamart”. Following a working meeting on future projects, a visit to Penamacor's historical heritage took place, concluding the celebrations.

These are 20 years of institutional friendship, cooperation, opportunities, encounters, sharing, common experiences, and building a human relationship that far exceeded what was foreseen in the initial protocol. This twinning is a commitment between people and a bridge connecting territories. It is a project of mutual trust."
The President of the Municipal Chamber of Penamacor, José Miguel Oliveira, highlighted the importance of twinning as a bridge between territories and a school of European citizenship, emphasizing the richness of the differences between Penamacor and Clamart and the need to involve new generations.
