Fundão has introduced the CTA — Training, Work, and Autonomy Program, its most extensive municipal initiative to date, designed to create employment, provide training, and foster autonomy for individuals facing social vulnerability. The program seeks to connect people with job opportunities through personalized pathways.
A consortium of over a dozen organizations has been formed, including educational institutions, health services, child protection structures, business associations, social sector entities, community partners, security forces, and employers. This collaboration ensures coordinated responses tailored to the challenges of each inclusion journey.
Companies and employing institutions play a central role in identifying local needs and creating training and professional integration opportunities. The “Parceiro CTA” seal will be awarded to recognize the collaboration of employers in promoting training and socio-professional inclusion.
The program targets residents of the municipality at risk, vulnerable, or experiencing social exclusion. Its goal is to enhance personal, social, and professional skills, fostering progressive autonomy. It coordinates responses in social action, housing, training, employment, and community integration, considering each participant's circumstances and potential.
The Fundão CTA is structured around three complementary axes: identifying companies' recruitment needs through surveys, assessing individual participants to build tailored training paths, and promoting on-the-job training, internships, and support for professional integration.
Participation involves signing a CTA contract and developing an Individual Training Plan, which may include transversal training, specific technical skills, practical activities, and ongoing technical support, including adaptation to the work environment.
Through the Fundão CTA, the Municipality aims to strengthen the link between individuals' skills and the local labor market's demands, promoting sustainable pathways to autonomy, equal opportunities, and social cohesion.
