The award ceremony, covering the 2026-2027 biennium, is an initiative promoted by the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG). The winning application recognizes the work the Municipality has been developing and implementing in promoting equality between men and women, in non-discrimination, and in developing proximity responses to community needs, through a transversal intervention in the integration, planning, and evaluation of public policies.
This distinction represents recognition of the work done so far, as well as an incentive to continue on a more egalitarian path regarding inclusive public policies, strengthening a culture of respect for diversity, and deepening evidence-based best practices that manifest in real results.
