The Vila Verde Leisure Complex and the Vila de Prado Municipal Pool have achieved a new usage record, hosting 2550 users in their various activities following recent renovation works.

The two municipal facilities, now boasting excellent conditions and renewed capacity, meet citizens' needs for spaces dedicated to physical activity, leisure, and health promotion. The increase in users is the result of significant investment using the Municipality's own resources and EU funds, enabling the modernization of facilities that had not been intervened upon in their 20 years of operation.
The Mayor, Júlia Rodrigues Fernandes, highlighted the positive feedback from users and reiterated the Municipality's commitment to ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement of the facilities.
The pools offer adapted swimming for all ages, from babies to seniors, including water familiarization, swimming instruction, and technique refinement. Aqua aerobics classes aim to improve physical condition, cardiovascular health, and injury recovery.
The Leisure Complex also features a gym with equipment for strength, endurance, and cardiovascular training, alongside various group classes led by qualified professionals, such as BeatPump, Localizada, Pilates, BeatCycle, LocalCycle, and Krav Maga, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle.
