The Municipality of Vieira do Minho will proceed with the improvement and redevelopment of the playground located within the Parque de Lazer da Zona Ribeirinha, at the Parque dos Moinhos. The intervention aims to enhance the safety, accessibility, and comfort of this space for children and families.
The project, awarded to the company Situsprimus, includes the rehabilitation of the existing playground and the replacement of degraded equipment with new certified and inclusive structures, ensuring adequate safety conditions for its use.
The work also involves reorganizing the space, creating pedestrian and cycling paths for younger users, installing fencing, and eliminating architectural barriers. The goal is to provide greater autonomy for children and better conditions for families and caregivers to supervise and stay.
The intervention also includes the application of continuous and permeable safety surfacing, suitable for the installed equipment and respective fall heights. This solution will allow for natural rainwater infiltration and facilitate the circulation of wheelchairs and other mobility aids, reinforcing the inclusive nature of the space.
Work is scheduled to begin on November 16th, with an execution period of 60 days. Through this project, the Municipality aims to provide the Parque dos Moinhos playground with improved safety, functionality, and accessibility, creating a more attractive and inclusive space.
