The Municipal Council of Vieira do Minho met on October 22nd at the headquarters of the Mosteiro Parish Council for a decentralized meeting. During the session, various matters related to municipal activity were approved, with a focus on public works.
Within the scope of public works, the contract award for the construction of sanitation works for the wastewater drainage of the urban cycle of Sanguinhedo-Azevedo was ratified. This project represents an investment exceeding one and a half million euros, plus VAT, and will have an execution period of 20 months.
The meeting also included the ratification of the contract award for energy efficiency works to convert the former Bus Station building into a Municipal Conservatory. This intervention, awarded for over one million one hundred thousand euros (plus VAT), has an execution period of 365 days.
For information purposes, inspection and testing reports related to the Vieira de Araújo Basic and Secondary School were also presented. These reports were prepared by the Local Health Unit of Braga, following an inspection carried out under the National School Health Program.
Through these decentralized meetings, the Municipality of Vieira do Minho aims to bring municipal decisions closer to citizens, promoting the Executive's work in the various parishes of the municipality and strengthening the proximity between the council and the population.
