The Cultural Center of the town of Terras de Bouro was inaugurated on October 24th, following renovation works, and was named after Carlos Pereira, in recognition of his contribution to local culture and associativism.

The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Environment and Energy, Prof.ª Doutora Maria da Graça Carvalho, and the Mayor, Manuel Tibo. Representing the family, Carlos Pereira's son, Adriano Pereira, expressed his gratitude for the tribute.
The intervention in the building, supported by the Environmental Fund to improve energy efficiency, will house the Music School, local associations, and activities for various generations.
During the event, two paintings by local artist Álvaro Marques were presented: a portrait of Carlos Pereira and a depiction of the Roman Geira. The program also included a parade by the Terras de Bouro Volunteer Firefighters and performances by local groups such as «Despertar Tradições» and the Rancho Folclórico das Lavradeiras de Guardenha.
The inauguration, part of the commemorative week for the 512th anniversary of the granting of the Foral Charter, combined the enhancement of a cultural space with the honoring of an individual who helped build the municipality's identity.
