The exhibition, part of the VI edition of the IRIS - Gerês Nature Image Festival, features works by six nature photographers: Mário Cunha, Carlos Pontes, Júlio Marques, Ricardo Rocio, Ângelo Jesus, and Francisco Machado. These artists present different technical and artistic perspectives on Gerês, covering forests, waterways, peaks, and details of the local flora and fauna.
Displayed in backlit cubes, the exhibition offers an immersive visual experience, particularly at night. Beyond the photographic record, the initiative aims to promote the Peneda-Gerês National Park and raise awareness about environmental preservation.
The exhibition introduces a less-explored Gerês, beyond its most iconic locations, and showcases the territory's transformation throughout the different seasons. The initiative also invites visitors to explore the municipality and the National Park year-round, discovering the diverse landscapes each season reveals.
