The Mayor, José Peixoto Lima, clarified that this affordable housing scheme aims to help families access more competitive rents compared to market rates. Given the widespread increase in rents, the mayor emphasized that this scheme will lower rental prices and provide families with a better quality of life, offering new apartments with all comfort conditions.
Individuals who have resided or worked in the municipality for at least two years may apply, provided they meet the income conditions and other requirements of the competition. Those already renting a home at a high cost can also apply if they meet these conditions.
The fixed rents will range between €208.09 and €525.00, depending on the apartment typology, from T1 to T5. T1 apartments will have rents between €208.09 and €275.00; T2 between €265.02 and €350.00; T3 between €316.38 and €425.00; T4 between €338.80 and €475.00; and T5 between €489.87 and €525.00.
The application form is available on the Municipality's website and can be sent by email to geral@mun-celoricodebasto.pt or submitted in person at the Balcão do Cidadão, until October 28.
