The Municipality of Fafe dedicates October to Mental Health, with a program of activities aimed at strengthening literacy, promoting community participation, and valuing network work.
The Municipality of Fafe, through the Division of Social Cohesion and the Municipal Mental Health Group, has prepared a series of activities throughout October. These initiatives aim to enhance mental health literacy, promote community participation, and value network work with local partners. The program, which covers various areas of action, can be consulted on the Municipality's communication channels.
A highlight of the month is the Open Day, to be held on October 10th – World Mental Health Day. Throughout the day, various entities and projects will be present at the Casa da Cultura and the Municipal Library of Fafe. The goal is to showcase the work carried out during the year, promote Mental Health literacy, and reinforce a message of prevention, proximity, inclusion, and shared responsibility in diverse areas such as literature, sports, and art. The program will feature several moments of animation and initiatives, organized by partners of the Municipal Mental Health Group, in coordination with other divisions of the Municipality.
The Municipal Mental Health Group marks its third year of activity this year. This milestone also serves as a moment to recognize the work developed by the various partners who, throughout this journey, have contributed to building an increasingly close and coordinated local network.
The Municipality invites the community to participate, making this day a moment of encounter, sharing, and appreciation for the work developed daily for the Mental Health of our community.
