Esposende Ambiente (EAmb) has once again received the Exemplary Quality Seal for Drinking Water, awarded by ERSAR - Regulatory Entity for Water and Waste Services. This distinction confirms the excellence of the water distributed to residents and reinforces confidence in the public supply service provided in the municipality of Esposende.
The award ceremony took place in Guimarães on October 14, where the Chairman of the company's Board of Directors, Manuel Losa, received the award. This year, the number of distinguished entities decreased by approximately 36% compared to the previous year, highlighting the differentiating nature and high level of demand associated with this certification.
The Exemplary Quality Seal for Drinking Water distinguishes management entities that demonstrate high performance standards in monitoring and controlling the quality of water supplied to consumers, ensuring compliance with at least 99% of legally defined parametric values. The initiative aims to promote continuous improvement in supply services and recognize the work of entities responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water.
As part of the water quality control program, Esposende Ambiente conducted 725 analyses at consumer taps and 1,976 analyses at hydrants in the supply network, covering 219 sampling points throughout the municipality. The results confirmed the high standards of quality of the distributed water.
This recognition reflects the commitment and dedication of the Esposende Ambiente teams, who ensure a safe and high-quality water supply. It also promotes tap water consumption as a safe, sustainable, and economically advantageous option, contributing to the reduction of plastic use and the environmental footprint.
Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN's 2030 Agenda, Esposende Ambiente continues its strategy of promoting universal access to safe, quality, and affordable drinking water, reaffirming its commitment to public health, environmental sustainability, and the quality of life of the community.
