As part of the CLDS 5G (Celorico + Social) activity plan, the Neuro-Sénior Program continues to be implemented regularly among the elderly in the municipality on specific days. The clear objective is to promote the mental and emotional health of the older population.
This program, comprising 15 sessions, is guided by specific parameters and activities in response to the pronounced demographic aging of the population, geographical dispersion, and scarcity of specialized local support services in cognitive stimulation and psychosocial support.
The proposed initiatives aim to improve and maintain the cognitive functions of the elderly, namely memory, attention, concentration, and reasoning, with the goal of preventing or minimizing the impact of dementia at a particularly susceptible age.
In parallel, the program contributes to promoting mental and emotional health, reducing social isolation, and reinforcing the autonomy and quality of life of the elderly population.
