The traditional Annual Santa Catarina Fair in Celorico de Basto, a centuries-old event, takes place from November 25th to 29th, promising to attract thousands of visitors with a wide range of products and activities.

The fair, which keeps the tradition of the 'feira franca' (open market) alive, will feature hundreds of vendors. Highlights include the sale of sardines, winter clothing such as coats, blankets, socks, and slippers, fruit trees, agricultural tools, and traditional products.
The initiative includes the Animal Showcase at Quinta do Prado, with specimens of cattle, goats, poultry, and horses. In parallel, the Gastronomic Showcase returns to the Municipal Market, promoting local products, with a special emphasis on turnip soup, which will be served during the event.
The weekend will be enlivened by the Tuna Festival, Tunacel, organized by local youth with the support of the Municipality. The festival is scheduled for November 28th at 9:00 PM, at the Cineteatro dos Bombeiros Voluntários Celoricenses, and will feature the participation of four tuna groups.
