The parish of Nossa Senhora das Neves will once again celebrate Saint Martin's Day on November 14th, starting at 3:00 PM, in five locations across the parish. The event will feature the traditional offering of chestnuts, new wine, and moments of conviviality and sharing.
In the same announcement, José Luís Casimiro Brigadeiro addresses the community in his new role as President of the Parish Council. He emphasizes a sense of responsibility and gratitude, stating that the position belongs to the entire community and that his team will honor past work and project the parish's future with seriousness, dedication, and proximity.
Brigadeiro describes Nossa Senhora das Neves as a rural parish with history, identity, and a strong community spirit, possessing extraordinary potential in its people, agriculture, associations, local commerce, and heritage, highlighting the 'cante alentejano' as a major symbol.
The new President commits to a Parish Council that is close, transparent, and available, accountable for its actions, and always acting with the clear objective of improving the quality of life for those who live, work, or visit. Daily work will be guided by truth, rigorous public resource management, and deep respect for everyone.
The institutional website is presented as a tool at the service of the parishioners, offering information on the Council's activities, available services, ongoing initiatives, and necessary contacts for simple, direct, and effective communication. The aim is for this space to also be an open door for participation, suggestions, and constructive criticism.
José Luís Casimiro Brigadeiro calls for everyone's collaboration to build a more cared-for, dynamic, and valued parish, reaffirming his commitment to serving the community with humility, determination, and a daily willingness to work.
