Artists Tomás Custódio Félix and Be Dias, winners of the Creation Support call – Imaginarius 2027, are preparing their artistic projects, which will premiere at the next edition of the festival in Santa Maria da Feira, between May 20 and 22.

The selected artists benefit from artistic, technical, and production support, including residencies, mentorship, and circulation, in addition to guaranteed participation in Imaginarius PRO. The call received 67 applications.
Tomás Custódio Félix, with the project "A Bagagem", received a 6,000 euro grant from Line 1 – Emergency. Be Dias, with "Pele Nova Carne Viva", was supported with 10,000 euros from Line 2 – Career Development. Both also receive an additional 1,500 euros for project circulation at the Serralves em Festa festival.
Tomás Custódio Félix has been in artistic residency at the Imaginarius Creation Centre (ICC) since October 20, developing "A Bagagem", a performative creation for public space exploring the memory of Portuguese diaspora, identity, and belonging. The work invites the audience to traverse a living archive of objects, stories, and memories.
Be Dias begins her artistic residency at the ICC on November 16 for "Pelo Nova Carne Viva", an immersive performative experience that guides the audience through a composition altering their perception of space, evoking memories, anxieties, and states of suspension. This journey becomes a sensory passage preparing for an encounter with a transhuman figure.
The evaluation committee paid particular attention to artistic risk, innovation, and development potential. Félix's and Dias' proposals achieved unanimous consensus from the jury.
