The event proposes an immersion into architecture through the seventh art, exploring buildings, the memory of places, and the interaction between spaces and their inhabitants. The initiative combines cinema, performance, exhibition, and talks with filmmakers and guests.
On October 16th, the festival kicks off with the inauguration of the exhibition "As Varandas de Matos Barbosa" at 9:15 PM, followed by a curatorial opening and tribute to the artist, addressing the relationship between his work, the city, and memory. At 9:30 PM, there will be a performance titled "Casa Não Cabe no Corpo", choreographed and performed by Ana Nunes / Fábrica das Artes. The film session begins at 10:00 PM with screenings of shorts such as "Os Emigrantes" (17 min), "A Casa ou Máquina de Habitar" (12 min 20 s), and "De Volta à Cidade: Mercado do Bolhão" (30 min).
The second day, October 17th, starts at 3:15 PM with the film session "O Fotógrafo Voador — Fernando Guerra", by Sara Nunes, preceded by a brief curatorial presentation. This is followed at 4:45 PM by the screening of "O Primeiro Siza", also by Sara Nunes and produced by Building Pictures. The event concludes at 5:45 PM with an open discussion with the public on "Cinema, architecture, and ways of inhabiting".
Admission is free, subject to venue capacity.
