Interested parties can submit their applications exclusively online through the SIGA platform. This program aims to support higher education students, up to 29 years old, who have been residents of the municipality for more than two years and whose family income meets the criteria set out in the regulations.
The program allows for scholarship renewals, with selection prioritizing lower household income per capita and academic merit. Since 2009, the Municipality of Estarreja has awarded over 350 scholarships.
The monthly financial support is up to €125, distributed over 10 months per year. In return, scholarship recipients commit to providing 80 hours of annual community service in municipal initiatives.
First-time applicants must email bolsasestudo@cm-estarreja.pt with personal details to receive an access code for the SIGA platform. Previous applicants only need to access the platform and submit a new application.
