The Municipality of Arouca will allocate nearly one million euros to support local associations, a 57% increase compared to last year, reaffirming its commitment to social and cultural development.

The investment, amounting to €818,153.25, dedicates the largest portion to supporting the construction, expansion, and improvement of facilities for Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS), aiming to enhance reception and support conditions for families.
The support package also includes the acquisition of other equipment for IPSS and cultural associations, seeking to provide these entities with better material and logistical resources for their activities and services to the population.

"With this investment, the Municipality recognizes the irreplaceable role of the associative movement in the social, cultural, and community dynamics of Arouca. These are institutions and associations that, through the daily work of their leaders, staff, and volunteers, provide close-to-home support, promote civic participation, revitalize cultural life, and contribute to the cohesion of the territory."
