The Ribeira Grande Municipal Council is organizing the “Vive a Vida” Solidarity Walk on October 24th, at 6:00 PM, to raise community awareness about breast cancer prevention.

The initiative, part of the Pink October – Breast Cancer Prevention Month commemorations, will gather at the Miradouro do Castelo. The goal is to link the message of breast cancer prevention and early detection with the promotion of active and healthy lifestyles.
The public is invited to join this moment of conviviality, solidarity, and awareness, walking through some of the main streets of Ribeira Grande. The route will start at the Miradouro do Castelo, proceeding along Passeio Atlântico, Rua do Estrela, Avenida José Nunes da Ponte, Avenida de São Pedro, and Rua Areal de Santa Bárbara.
The “Vive a Vida” Solidarity Walk emphasizes the importance of health care, paying attention to bodily signals, and adopting preventive behaviors. Participation is open to all ages, with an invitation to join this message of prevention, hope, and solidarity.
Participants can purchase a T-shirt, with the full proceeds donated to the cause. Sales will take place at the Ribeira Grande Tourist Office until Friday, October 23rd, between 9 AM and 5 PM.
