In the recent application phase, UAc received 592 applications for the 137 available places, resulting in the admission of 77 students. This outcome demonstrates the strong appeal of the university's academic project, which combines quality education, scientific research, and a commitment to the development of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
A total of 14 courses saw all their places filled. These include Biology, Basic Cycle of Medicine, Communication and Public Relations, Basic Education, Nursing (with admissions in Ponta Delgada and Angra do Heroísmo), Portuguese and English Studies, Management, History, Veterinary Medicine (Preparatory), Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, and Tourism. The Economics and European Studies courses had only one place left to fill, indicating widespread demand.
The highest score for the last admitted student under the general contingent reached 18.5 points, achieved in the Basic Cycle of Medicine, reflecting the high merit of the admitted students. By summing the enrollments from the first phase with the results now released, UAc consolidates the occupation of over 91% of its total places.
The demand for UAc also extends to other admission pathways. To date, 121 students have already enrolled through special competitions, which are designed for candidates with different backgrounds and profiles. The university extends its welcome to all new students, wishing them success in this new phase of their academic life.
