This trail was scheduled to conclude the 2026 hiking season. However, due to the postponement of the 2nd edition of the Grande Rota do Nordeste to a more suitable time, a new hiking excursion was scheduled. This new event will head to Pico da Vara, using the recently reopened access from Graminhais.
The excursion held last Saturday had the participation of 25 people, although more than 40 were registered. The approximately 8 km route was completed in about 3 hours.
Participants expressed admiration for the unique landscapes of the trail, such as the Poço Azul, the Ponte do Caminho Real, and the Cascata do Salto da Farinha, as well as praising the good condition of the trail.
