Funded by the Interreg Europe program, the project brings together nine European island regions, including the Azores, and promotes the exchange of digital practices and solutions. The work focuses on the use of digital technology in businesses and industry, in public services, and on improving the quality of life on islands, contributing to more autonomous and resilient communities.
The visit to NONAGON was led by Lúcia Lopes and Pilar Silva. Throughout the tour of the building, the delegation learned about the spaces and access conditions, as well as some of the companies located in the Park and the areas in which they operate.
As the first Science and Technology Park in the Azores, NONAGON promotes innovation and technology transfer, and supports entrepreneurs and companies in developing their projects. The visit showcased the Park's structure and the diversity of skills within its business community.
The delegation's visit to NONAGON was part of a study tour conducted in the Region between October 19 and 22.
