The Portuguese Navy and the Army conducted a joint exercise in the Azores, focused on reinforcing cooperation, readiness, and force projection capabilities.

The main objective of the action was to train readiness, mobility, and maritime force projection capabilities, simultaneously promoting interoperability between naval and land assets of the Armed Forces.
The exercise included various operational activities, such as personnel and equipment embarkation and disembarkation, communications testing, and the operation of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) in an operational context, aiming to train essential procedures for joint operations.
The initiative was supported by a semi-rigid boat and crew from the Institute of Aid to Shipwrecked (ISN), under the Port Authority of Angra do Heroísmo, ensuring the safety of the operations.
The vessel NRP Sines, commanded by Lieutenant Commander André Seixas Nunes, with a crew of 41 military personnel, maintains the naval readiness to which the Portuguese Navy is committed in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
