The new parking facility, located on Rua da Cidade in Fenais da Luz, represents a municipal investment of approximately €200,000. The infrastructure has created 35 new parking spaces, including areas for people with reduced mobility, aiming to enhance circulation and parking conditions in the parish.
Pedro Nascimento Cabral emphasized that the facility addresses concrete needs of the population and is part of the Municipal Chamber's ongoing efforts to improve mobility across the municipality's parishes. "This facility will contribute to improving residents' quality of life, offering greater safety, convenience, and better traffic conditions," stated the mayor.
The project was designed to provide enhanced safety for drivers and more efficient traffic management in the surrounding area. The Municipal Chamber President also acknowledged the commitment of the President of the Fenais da Luz Parish Council, Bruno Costa, highlighting the importance of institutional collaboration.
Since 2021, the Ponta Delgada Municipal Chamber has constructed 16 parking facilities, creating over 500 new spaces in various parts of the municipality, as part of a continuous effort to meet parking demands and improve mobility.
