The municipal project "Children in Motion" resumed yesterday, October 12th, in the municipality of Nelas, aiming to encourage regular physical activity from childhood. The initiative seeks to foster healthy lifestyle habits and contribute to the physical, social, and cognitive development of the young participants.
Approximately 400 children from preschool educational establishments and kindergartens in the municipality are taking part in this edition. The program offers playful and sports experiences that combine learning, fun, and movement, including aquatic activities and playful-motor expression activities.
Aquatic activities are intended for all children from the kindergartens of the School Groups of Nelas and Canas de Senhorim, as well as private institutions such as JI Girassol, JI João de Deus, JI Malmequer, and JI do Centro Paroquial de Vilar Seco.
Promoted by the Sports Services of the Municipality of Nelas, the "Children in Motion" project reinforces the local authority's commitment to health, well-being, and the adoption of active lifestyles from the earliest years of life.
This initiative goes beyond physical exercise, creating opportunities to play, learn, develop skills, and share experiences, aiming for children to grow up healthy, active, and balanced.
