The Municipal Services of Water and Sanitation of Viseu (SMAS) have contracted two works for the replacement of asphalt pavements in the municipality, with a total investment of €477,567.10.

The interventions, covering all 25 parishes of the municipality, are intended for the repair of pavements affected by breaks in the water and sanitation networks. Divided into two lots, they include a planned repaving area of 18,000 square meters, with an execution period of 365 days for each lot.
The Mayor of Viseu, João Azevedo, highlighted the importance of these works for improving the daily lives of residents. "We want the investment in the municipality to translate into concrete improvements in people's daily lives. Pavement replacement is an important part of the work carried out following interventions on the water and sanitation networks. These are works that often do not have great visibility, but they make a difference in the lives of those who live here," he stated.
