The Vila Pouca de Aguiar Municipal Council is promoting the 24th Gastronomic Show on October 31st and November 1st, featuring an autumn menu with a focus on goat, chestnuts, and mushrooms.

The 24th Gastronomic Show of Vila Pouca de Aguiar celebrates autumn flavors on October 31st and November 1st. Participating restaurants will serve a tempting autumn menu, including dishes such as miscarada, goat with chestnuts, and wild mushroom risotto. For desserts, chestnut pudding and heather honey are among the featured delicacies.
The show includes an Autumn Products Fair at the Municipal Market. On the first day, there will be a Culinary Workshop with chef Marco Gomes, focusing on goat, chestnuts, and mushrooms, followed by a musical performance by Cláudia Martins & Minhotos Marotos. The second day features a popular 'magusto' (chestnut roasting) with concertinas, as well as traditional singing and children's workshops.
In addition to goat, chestnuts, and mushrooms, local gastronomy also highlights Maronesa veal and mountain potato. Also noteworthy are the Doce Aguiar, made from chestnuts, and the Pastel de Aguiar, prepared with mushrooms.
In parallel with the gastronomy, the Autumn Products Fair will be held at the Municipal Market during the first weekend of November, offering the best products of the season. The event is promoted by the Municipal Council.
