Councillor Ana Cristina Martins highlighted the importance of networking and the meetings promoted by the Local Social Action Council (CLAS) of the Municipality of Murça, which took place on October 1st. The session, held at the Paços do Concelho Auditorium, gathered representatives from several public and private entities with responsibilities in the social area of the municipality, emphasizing the importance of information sharing and coordination among members of the Murça Social Network.
The councillor stressed the need to intensify institutional cooperation and develop more integrated and effective responses to the population's needs. The presence of Luís Nicolau, Director of the Vila Real District Centre of the Social Security Institute, allowed for strengthening the link between the Murça Council and Social Security services, addressing the main challenges and existing social solutions in the territory.
During the meeting, central themes of social intervention in the municipality were discussed, promoting the exchange of experiences, the identification of needs, and the strengthening of collaboration among partner entities. The Municipality of Murça considers the CLAS and the Social Network as essential tools for concerted action, focused on proximity, cooperation, and the mobilization of local resources, aiming to improve the quality of life and general well-being.
