Ponte da Barca celebrated Municipal Day, marking the 513th anniversary of the granting of the Foral Novo to the Terras da Nóbrega, with a program that included institutional ceremonies, theatre, and tributes.

The commemorations began with the flag-raising ceremony at the Paços do Concelho, accompanied by the Fanfarra dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Ponte da Barca. In the afternoon, the Auditório Municipal hosted the play «Poder Local», presented by the Grupo de Teatro d’Água dos Bombeiros Voluntários de Ponte da Barca.
The program culminated with the Solemn Session at the Paços do Concelho, during which municipal distinctions were awarded to individuals and entities recognized for their contribution to the economic, social, and cultural development of the municipality and for promoting Ponte da Barca beyond its borders.
The Northern Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR-Norte) received the Municipal Medal of Honour, presented by its President, Engenheiro Álvaro Santos, in recognition of its contribution to regional development.
In the Municipal Economic Merit Medal category, awards were given to Engenheiro Francisco Silva de Calheiros e Menezes for his contribution to rural development; José Rodrigues da Cunha for his business career in France; and LimaNova Agricultura e Turismo, Lda. (Vinhas de Cypriano) for the Quinta de Cypriano project.
The Casa do Futebol Clube do Porto de Ponte da Barca, chaired by Carlos Moreira, was recognized for its associative, sporting, and solidarity work. The distinction was also awarded to the Association Pharmacitoyen, a French non-profit association chaired by Mustapha Larbaoui, for its work in recovering and redistributing medical supplies.
In the Municipal Autarchic Merit Medal category, awards were presented to Hélène Geoffroy, former mayor of Vaulx-en-Velin, and Jacques Mione, mayor of Ballancourt-sur-Essonne, both in France, for strengthening institutional relations and twinning between the municipalities.
16 Medals of Good Service were awarded to employees of the Câmara Municipal de Ponte da Barca, recognizing their dedication to municipal public service. Of these, six correspond to 20 years of service (silver medal) and 10 to 15 years (copper medal).
