The Municipal Auditorium António Chainho was filled for the 1st Child and Adolescent Health Conference of ULSLA, an initiative whose significance was measured not just by the number of attendees, but by the conversations started, ideas born, and the reinforced conviction that caring for children and young people is investing in the community's future.
Organized by the Working Group of Specialist Nurses in Child and Pediatric Nursing of ULSLA, the conference addressed topics such as sleep, nutrition, mental health, parenting, adolescence, and the challenges posed by the digital world to child development. Specialists from various fields shared scientific knowledge, experiences, and projects, emphasizing that health promotion extends beyond traditional healthcare.
The event included the presentation of 12 scientific posters, highlighting the innovation capacity of ULSLA professionals. The work developed was also recognized on the official profile of the International Society of Addiction Medicine (ISAM), projecting the initiative internationally.
A satisfaction survey revealed enthusiasm and positive evaluations, with some participants suggesting the conference be extended to two days. The Organizing Committee thanked all involved, considering the event a milestone in the affirmation of Child and Adolescent Health at ULSLA.
