The initiative, part of the Amora +65 project, aims to foster active participation among seniors, social interaction, and access to historical and cultural heritage. Entry and the guided tour of the Citadel Palace are free of charge.
Following the visit, the program includes a picnic lunch at Parque Marechal Carmona, one of Cascais' most emblematic green spaces, providing a moment of outdoor leisure and camaraderie.
The group's travel will be by public transport (ferry and train connection), covered by the Passe Navegante Metropolitano, incurring no transport costs for pass holders. The meeting point is at 08:40 at the Terminal Fluvial do Seixal, with support from Parish Council staff.
Participation is limited to 25 spots, due to space visit regulations and public transport capacity and safety. Registrations are free and exclusively for residents of the Parish of Amora aged 65 or over.
