The Amora Municipal Library and CAMAJ – Youth Associative Movement Support Centre opened to the public at the José Saramago Cultural Centre, in Amora, from October 20th.

The two facilities, integrated into the José Saramago Cultural Centre, have been operational since October 20th. From now on, formal and non-formal youth associations can use CAMAJ to develop work, meet, hold events, training sessions, or activities in three multipurpose rooms that operate autonomously. This is an added value that allows for longer use of the space, with the possibility of 24-hour access upon request for an access card.
The public library has also been transformed, moving from a space of almost absolute silence to a place for socialising, sharing, and diverse learning. This is the concept of the new Amora Municipal Library, which includes a children's reading room, an adult reading room, and a playroom. The space invites everyone to participate, allowing them to study, discover new writers, or attend a story time, combining culture and education.
