Organized by the Academia Musical e Recreativa 8 de Janeiro de Alhos Vedros, with support from the Moita Municipal Council and the Alhos Vedros Parish Council, the fair will serve as a showcase for local publishers and authors. Among the confirmed names are Edmundo Valente de Assunção, Rosário Vaz, Filipa Fonseca Silva, and Isabel do Carmo.
The official opening is scheduled for 8:30 PM on Thursday, October 1st, followed by the inauguration of the exhibition "O que a natureza me ensinou a criar" (What Nature Taught Me to Create) and the presentation of a book by Leonel Coelho.
October 2nd will be filled with musical entertainment by the Barreiro Municipal Band, under the direction of maestro Orlando Caldeira.
The weekend promises activities for all age groups. On Saturday, October 3rd, the initiative "Contar... com as crianças" (Telling... with children), led by Maria das Dores Nascimento, is aimed at families, while the evening will be dedicated to the launch of various literary works.
On Sunday, October 4th, the program includes an "Authors' Meeting" for an informal conversation about the creative process and the presentation of Carlos Vardasca's book, titled “Uma Lua Ancorada no Cais” (A Moon Anchored at the Quay).
The final day of the event, Monday, October 5th, will feature a contemporary dance workshop, promoted by Alex Carvalho, choreographer of the dance company Mekanik Dance. The fair's closing will be marked by literary presentations by Mário Durval and Filipa Féria, culminating in the dance performance "X-istence" by the same company.
