Fátima Lopes, Nursing Director of ULS Lezíria, reinforced the importance of prevention and early diagnosis, while Ana Alexandre Calado, Clinical Director for Primary Healthcare, emphasized the need for care centered on each woman's individual needs.
Hélia Dias, Director of the School of Health Sciences at the Polytechnic University of Santarém, shared a personal reflection on the impact of breast cancer on families and the importance of support networks. Madalena Nogueira, coordinator of the Breast Pathology Unit (UPM), highlighted the team's commitment and the importance of creating moments of closeness, reaffirming the unit's dedication to quality and humanized care, despite resource challenges.
The program also included a session on "Sexuality and breast cancer," led by Elisabeth Ordens Castelo Branco from the Portuguese Oncology Institute of Coimbra, a moment of humor with David Pina Trincão, an immunoallergologist at ULS Lezíria, and a musical performance by sisters Catarina Cardeta and Leonor Cardeta. The event concluded with a social lunch.
